SUMMARY

Thirty-something years of broadly based technical, sales, administrative and education positions. In the computer field, my experience encompasses the spectrum of programming, analysis, consulting, computer education, software development, hardware integration, marketing and sales, facility / data processing management, VAR, and retail.

My most pertinent computer experience in the past 16 years has included development, support and DBA of Progress 4GL (Vs 5 – 10.0B) applications on UNIX & NT. The past 10 years have been focused on three Progress 4GL software packages running on UNIX: Mfg/Pro (manufacturing) (Vs 7.2 – EB-2), Dispatch-1 (field service) and RUBS II (public utility).

Business environments have ranged from large corporate and government data processing to leading edge development for small business and professionals.

Hardware environments have included large IBM, NCR, and Unisys mainframes, NCR, IBM and Sun minis, super-micros, PCs, and special-purpose computers. I was also selected as a "beta test" site for THEOS OS and NCR UNIX V4.2 ethernet / TCP/IP features and UnixWare communications.

In the sales and management fields, I have over 17 years of retail sales and management experience on both the local and national levels. This has been split between computer and fine arts and crafts festival production and specialty sports merchandising.

In the education field, I have over five years of teaching experience in computer studies and retailing in junior college, college, and college adult continuing education programs and in the English (American) language.
